An immersive theater performance bridges the stories of Bayard Rustin and Sarah Mapps Douglass, two phenomenal Black Philadelphian Quakers who walked the halls of ASMH a century apart. Yet, both struggled with racial injustice, political activism, and their experiences within the Quaker faith.
This 45-minute interpretive program brings their writings and experiences back to life, highlighting the often-overlooked intersections of race, faith, and freedom.
Written and directed by Yvie Jones.
